China:
Recently completed a six month analysis of the Chinese market for a major Advertising Agency Conglomerate. The purpose of the project was to provide a short term strategy (under five years) for developing integrated brand offerings for multi-national corporations who wished to expand into China. We also provided insights into the proper organizational structure and the total communication tools and process needed to effectively and efficiently penetrate the market. In addition, a thorough analysis of the changing political and business "partnership" climate was undertaken to forecast the types of legal entities would be allowed or encouraged by the Chinese government in the next few years.
An interesting by product was the understanding of the Chinese concept of marketing and the need for qualified help in this area. China has ambitious worldwide expansion plans targeted for the next decade and will need help in marketing their products outside their own captive market. China is no longer content to be a low cost suppliers of resources and products branded by other manufacturers.
